'Discoveries in Displacement’ evokes people’s imagination through diverse interpretations of ambiguous and abstract numbers and words and through images of streaming media. Through measuring, visualizing, and calculating, it captures everyday life in an unfamiliar way.

‘Discoveries in Displacement’ is situated within several contexts of design and design research: data visualization, data interpretation, streaming media, and multimedia interaction. Further, it creates knowledge through aesthetic imagination in places where science and design intersect.

‘Time Travel’ is the culmination of consecutive experiments of ‘Discoveries in Displacement’. It challenges the traditional notion of space and time by visualizing what is always there and changing one’s perceptions of it.
