Dream Research/Visualization
'75 unconsciousness = 25 imaginations + 25 memories + 25 desires' retells the dream stories of people in a provocative screen-based interactive installation. Based on design research of dreams, it is not just visualizing people's memories, desires, and imaginations in their dreams, but demonstrating their inner voices through re-presenting, re-imaging in a metaphoric and poetic manner.
My ultimate research question about dreams was ‘how do dreams encourage people to enhance their imaginations or evoke inner desire, imagination and memory?’ In order to understand people’s unconsciousness through their dreams, and how external personalities are internalized in their dreams, I made survey questions and sent the survey out to the people around me.
‘MEMORIES IN THE FUTURE, IMAGINATIONS IN THE PAST’
Based on my concept and people’s answers, I was able to create a time line of the dream world. It is other spaces which are parallel to the real world. I demonstrated in my research that people’s memories are based on the synesthesia which is interactions with more than one sense of the time and space and their experiences in the past.

Analyzation & Interpretation

Memories(Past) - want to meet someone they love died(mother, father, friends, pets etc) in their dreams, going back to military, 오래전에 보았던 영화장면, blanket, movie, books, holding up seven-eleven and eating their ice cream, birthday present, falling of bicycle etc
Desires(Present) - robot, dad, ex-girlfriend, ex-boyfriend, talking with dead people, meeting celebrities, being with their favorite people, other spaces, more future of themselves, their future self in a successful business, having sex, famous designer, want to solve situations of daily life, change surroundings, playing basketball or eat, 꿈을 자주 안꾸는 스타일이라서 별로 바라는건 없지만, 성공한 미래를 볼수있음 좋지, want to see brad pitt, adam brody, justin timberlake, お金持ち, ジェシカ・アルバみたい, I dream I am rich drugs, sex etc
